Privacy Policy
What we collect
- Account: email, password hash, optional name and timezone.
- Bank data (Plaid sandbox until production is approved): linked account metadata, balances, and transactions needed to categorize spending, detect irregular bills, and build set-asides. We do not store bank login credentials; Plaid access tokens are encrypted at rest.
- Assets you add: vehicles, homes, pets (species, optional birth year), and related cost inputs (odometer, service history, home components, pet cost ranges).
- Health cost items only: item type (e.g. dental cleaning, eye exam, plan out-of-pocket), dollar ranges, optional dates/intervals, and labels you enter. We do not store medical conditions, diagnoses, or medications.
- Goals, budgets, alerts, and pay schedule you configure.
How we use data
- Power forecasts and per-paycheck set-aside ranges (low–high), alerts, budgets, and insights.
- Detect candidate irregular bills (including vet / dental / vision merchants) for you to confirm or dismiss.
- Improve reliability of matching and categorization. We do not sell your personal data.
Health data stance
Costvoyant’s health feature is a cost planner, not a health record. Only cost information is stored for health items. Do not enter conditions, diagnoses, or medication names into free-text labels if you want to keep those details out of the product.
Retention and deletion
- You can delete vehicles, homes, pets, health cost items, linked bank items, and your account; related rows cascade.
- Transaction history retained while the bank item is linked; disconnect/delete flows remove associated Plaid item data per product controls.
Waitlist

When you join the waitlist, we collect your email address and the time you
signed up. We may also store a short source label (for example,
landing) so we know which form you used. - Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you are human. We send your IP to Turnstile for that check and do not store the IP or user agent in our waitlist database.
- Waitlist data is stored in Cloudflare D1 and used only to email you about launch.
- Email hello@costvoyant.app to be removed from the waitlist.
What this site does today
This marketing site only runs the waitlist form above. Account, bank, asset, health, goals, budgets, alerts, and pay-schedule data described elsewhere in this policy apply when you use the Costvoyant app, not when you only visit this site.
